What is Sonic Runners?
An All-New Sonic Action Game is here! Simple controls – just tap to jump, dash, and fly! Equip items and buddies to improve your stats and run to the top of the leader boards!
Player Characters
Take control of Sonic and race through every level. BUT, you’ll quickly unlock more friends like Tails and Knuckles! Each character has special skills that are useful in different stages. Additional characters will be added in the future!
The Fastest Hedgehog in the World! Sonic is a free spirit with a strong sense of right and wrong. He will always rush to the aid of those in need.
Type: Speed/Hero
Tap the screen while in the middle of a jump to perform a double and triple jump.
Tails—real name Miles Prower—is one of Sonic's best pals. He's a super-friendly fox cub with two fluffy tails that he can spin at high speed to fly through the air.
Type: Fly/Hero
Tails is a Fly-type character Tap and hold mid-jump, and he'll float in the air.
Knuckles is a super-strong echidna, and one of Sonic's greatest rivals and best friends. A martial arts master, his punches can turn massive boulders into dust.
Type: Power/Hero
Knuckles is a Power-type character. Tap mid-jump, and he'll launch a dash attack.
Buddies
Sonic and his friends can bring buddies along on their runs! Buddies can help boost scores or even enhance item effects. You can match buddy types and character types to amplify buddy effects as well! There are currently 20 types of Buddies with more to come!
S Rare
- Chip
- Perform a final sprint to collect crystals and rings after you are defeated.
Type: Speed
- Caliburn
- This buddy will automatically attack bosses in boss battles.
Type: Power
Rare
- Yacker
- Extends the duration of color power items.
Type: Speed
- Golden Pig
- Collects and saves rings when players take damage.
Type: Fly
Normal
- Normal Chao
- Adds a bonus to your score.
Type: Fly
- RC Balloon
- Helps to automatically perform big jumps.
Type: Power
Item
Players can also equip up to 3 items each run, to help them run to a high score!
Equippable Items
- Cyan Laser
- Players temporarily transform into a laser beam. Continuously tap the screen to collect rings, crystals, and animals.
- Yellow Drill
- Players temporarily transform into a drill, and burrow underground. Tap the screen to jump and collect rings, crystals, and animals.
- Indigo Asteroid
- Players temporarily transform into an asteroid and fly in the air. Tap the screen to float. You can destroy objects and collect rings, crystals, and animals.
- Invincible
- Protects players from all damage while the item is active.
Booster Items
- Score Booster
- Doubles your character bonus score.
- Spring Platforms
- Spring platforms will cover pits to prevent players from falling.
